Browser Extension Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
This policy explains what the Replyze browser extension ("the extension") collects, why, and how it's handled. It complements the main Replyze Privacy Policy. The short version: the extension reads a social post only when you ask it to, uses it to generate replies, and does not store the post. We never sell your data.
What the extension accesses
- The post you choose. When you click "Read post in view," the extension reads the text of the post centered in your active LinkedIn or X tab. This text is sent to Replyze's API to generate replies and is not stored afterward.
- Your account. You sign in with your Replyze account (email and password) via our authentication provider, Supabase. Your email identifies your account; we never see or store your password.
- Your personalization profile. If you fill in Personalize (headline, about, goals, writing samples), it is saved to Replyze's backend so replies match your voice. You can change it anytime in the extension or the Replyze app.
- Local preferences. Reply length, language, theme, a device identifier, and a short-lived cache of recent results are stored locally in your browser. The cache lets you reopen a post instantly without re-generating.
What we do not do
- We do not store the content of the posts you generate replies for.
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not track your browsing or read pages other than the post you explicitly ask Replyze to read.
- The extension does not run in the background — it reads a post only when you click.
Where data goes
- Post text and reply requests are sent to Replyze's API at
api.replyze.coto generate replies (processed by our AI providers, then discarded). - Authentication is handled by Supabase.
- Reply metadata (such as tone and timestamp — never the post text) may be stored to operate the service and your usage limits.
Data retention
- Posts: not retained.
- Account and personalization data: retained until you delete your account.
- Local preferences and cache: stored in your browser until you clear them or remove the extension.
Your choices
- Edit or clear your personalization profile in Personalize.
- Sign out to remove your session from this browser.
- Remove the extension to delete its local data.
- Delete your Replyze account (in the iOS app) to remove account data.
